Terrifying Plane Crash In Kathmandu Leaves 50+ Dead

Veduis reports that at least 50 people are reported to have died after a passenger plane crashed while landing at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Monday.

It is reported that there were 71 people on board the plane including 4 crew members.  Thirty-one people died immediately and 18 died at two hospitals in Kathmandu police spokesman Manoj Neupane.  The passengers aboard the flight were primarily Nepalese and Bangladeshi, with one passenger from China and another from the Maldives.  The aircraft was a US-Bangla airlines flight from the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka.

It is reported that the plane was flying erratically as it descended for a landing, missing the runway by nearly 1,000 feet as it crashed into a nearby football field.  Witnesses stated that they saw the plane flying lower than usual before completely changing direction.
