While students at a South Carolina school took part in Walkout Wednesday, a school custodian stole cash from students, police say. Aisha Evans, a custodian at the High School reportedly went into a classroom while students were outside and went through three book bags stealing $180, Richland County Sheriff’s Department said.
Soon after the custodian was arrested and charged with three counts of petty larceny. Evans, 32, was employed by a third party company called Service Solutions which provides custodial services to the district’s school. The agency has reportedly terminated the woman since the incident.
